Quiet Bite
Privacy notice
This notice explains what Quiet Bite processes, what stays private on your device, and the choices you control.
Last updated 7 August 2026The short version
Quiet Bite is private by default. You can use every core coping tool without an account. Your check-ins stay on your device unless you deliberately turn on cloud sync.
We do not sell personal information, run advertising, or use behavioral tracking SDKs.
Information stored on your device
The app can store check-in times, urge intensity, the exercise used, optional context tags and notes, reminder preferences, accessibility settings, and a trusted person’s name and phone number. This information remains in app storage on your device when cloud sync is off.
Local reminders are scheduled by your operating system. Quiet Bite does not receive a list of notifications you open or ignore.
Voice narration
When you play a narrated exercise, the app requests a fixed exercise and narration variant from the Quiet Bite API. It never sends your check-in, note, intensity, trusted contact, or anything you type.
The API may process standard network information such as IP address, request time, and user-agent for delivery, rate limiting, security, and reliability. If a fixed recording is not cached, the server sends only our prewritten script and voice settings to ElevenLabs to create it. ElevenLabs does not receive your check-in information.
Optional account and cloud sync
If you choose to create an account and enable cloud sync, we process your email address or sign-in provider identifier, account identifier, and the app data you choose to back up. Supabase provides authentication and encrypted database hosting for this feature.
Cloud sync is opt-in. Creating an account does not silently upload existing check-ins; the app asks before the first backup. A trusted person’s phone number stays local and is never included in cloud sync.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes subscription payment details. RevenueCat helps Quiet Bite confirm subscription status and may receive an app account identifier, product purchased, transaction identifiers, country, platform, and subscription status. Quiet Bite does not receive your full card number.
Why information is used
We use information only to:
- provide the coping tools, optional narration, reminders, patterns, backup, and purchases you request;
- protect the service from abuse and diagnose reliability problems;
- respond when you contact support; and
- meet legal, safety, accounting, and store-platform obligations.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you delete it in Settings or uninstall the app. Cached narration contains only fixed Quiet Bite scripts, not personal information. Security and operational logs are retained only as configured by the production hosting provider and then removed or de-identified.
Settings includes export and deletion controls. If cloud sync is enabled, deleting local data does not automatically delete the cloud copy; use Delete account to remove synced app data and the account. Purchase records may remain with Apple, Google, or RevenueCat where legally required.
Sharing and processors
We share information only with service providers needed to run a feature you choose, such as Supabase for optional accounts and sync, RevenueCat and the app stores for subscriptions, ElevenLabs for generation of fixed narration, and production hosting providers for delivery and security. They process information under their own terms and our service arrangements.
We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect someone’s rights or safety. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Your choices and rights
You can use the core app without an account, turn narration and reminders off, export local data, delete local data, disable sync, restore purchases, and delete an account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information.
Age, security, and changes
Quiet Bite is designed for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
We will update this notice if our practices materially change and show an in-app notice when appropriate. The date at the top identifies the current version.
